Chama Antiga

“Chama Antiga” is a song about a fire that was never lit, only remembered.
It opens in winter, with cold moving along the ground and bringing your name back with it.
Leaves fall. Time passes. And still, something refuses to leave.
At the centre is an old flame kept low in a bowl of ash: small enough to protect, old enough to outlast the hands that tend it.
The percussion holds the ground like a hearth; the voice becomes a drum; nothing here is loud, because what is ancient does not need to shout.
It completes the journey that moved through stone, horizon and water, and arrives at the only element that cannot be stored, only carried.
Fire passes from hand to hand or it goes out. So does memory.
Ancient Wisdom. Modern Spirit.

Douro

What happens when the landscape you have known all your life suddenly begins to speak differently?
Some places are discovered.
Others are inherited.
They enter us long before we understand what they mean. They become part of the way we see distance, silence, work, beauty, loss, and belonging.
For me, the Douro is one of those places.
I come from the north of Portugal, from a territory where mountains shape the horizon, villages carry generations of memory, and the land has never been separated from the people who work it.

Canto Da Planície

What happens when a man from the mountains finds part of himself in the endless silence of the plain? Canto da Planície is Glender’s folktronica bridge between the granite of Trás-os-Montes and the golden horizon of the Alentejo. Where the landscape opens and time itself seems to rest, ancestral voices meet electronic rhythm – a modern tribute to the weathered hands, the village square, and the deep Portugal that rarely finds its way into music. Different landscapes. The same search for memory.

Canta Terra

After the harsh winter, what remains? Canta Terra is the answer to the silence – the moment the ice melts, the joyous and unstoppable shout of Spring. Merging the ancestral soul of traditional Portuguese melodies with an uplifting, powerful House Music beat, Glender delivers an electronic anthem of rebirth. A harvest of hope, where the hands of grandfathers bloom into flowers and the earth itself begins to sing.

Tição De Inverno

Winter is not just a season. In the mountains of Portugal, winter is a character – a physical presence that shapes the landscape, freezes the rivers, and tests the endurance of stone and soil. But for every degree the temperature drops outside, there is a corresponding rise in warmth inside. This contrast – the brutal cold of the world against the unshakeable heat of the human spirit – is the heartbeat of Tição De Inverno, the ASMAR Records debut by Glender.

Canto De Xisto

“Canto de Xisto” is Glender’s tribute to the landscapes, resilience, and ancestral memory of Trás-os-Montes. Through hypnotic percussion, organic textures, and a deeply emotional atmosphere, the track transforms the strength and silence of the land into a modern electronic journey.
