Glender is the artistic identity of Portuguese DJ and producer António Tavares — an established voice in tribal house, afro house and tech house with more than two decades of experience.
His work connects powerful electronic production with organic percussion, polyrhythmic movement and cultural textures drawn from Africa, the Middle East, India, Iberia, Brazil and beyond. The result is music designed not only for the dance floor, but for emotional recognition: familiar, ancestral and immediate.
Since founding Niraya Records and Niraya World in 2010, Glender has built a catalogue and international presence defined by consistency, identity and a deep respect for rhythm as a universal language.
